Salary: $70,000 USD + Bonus

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Manager of Licensing Sales to help expand the reach of Flying Fish’s traveling exhibitions.
This role focuses on licensing and business development—building relationships, negotiating licensing agreements, and developing new partnerships with museums, cultural institutions, and related organizations worldwide.
You’ll join a high-performing, mission-driven sales team that’s passionate about creativity, collaboration, and measurable growth. The ideal candidate combines sales acumen and relationship management with a genuine enthusiasm for museums and cultural experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Grow Licensing Partnerships
- Present and promote Flying Fish exhibitions to prospective clients and venues.
- Negotiate and finalize licensing agreements, renewals, and extensions.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation through contract execution.
- Expand Market Reach
- Identify and cultivate new client relationships across museums, cultural centers, and potential crossover sectors (publishing, design, entertainment).
- Use market insights and data to inform outreach strategies and uncover new opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and repeat business.
- Maintain regular communication and proactively address client needs throughout the exhibition lifecycle.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with operations and tour management to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing on outreach campaigns and conference presence.
- Represent the Brand
- Attend key industry conferences, events, and trade shows as a Flying Fish representative.
- Actively promote Flying Fish’s mission, values, and portfolio in professional networks.
Requirements
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of experience in exhibition licensing, IP licensing, or business development in a related creative sector (museum, entertainment, publishing, or design).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals and managing complex sales cycles.
- Established industry relationships or the ability to quickly build rapport within cultural and creative networks.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate value propositions clearly.
- Analytical mindset, comfortable using data to drive decisions and prioritize opportunities.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and confident operating in a remote environment.
- Passion for museums, exhibitions, and creating extraordinary cultural experiences.
