Company Overview

Operating two distinctive museums the Willamette Valley, the Benton County Historical Society has proudly served the community for the past 70 years.

Headquartered in Philomath, Oregon in the 1867 Philomath College building (listed on the National Register), Benton County Historical Society’s collection comprises over 100,000 objects including an extensive research archive, art and historical artifacts and photographs, as well as the Horner Museum Collection, formerly owned by Oregon State University. In addition to the Philomath site, the Society recently completed the Corvallis Museum, designed by Allied Works Architecture, on property located in the heart of downtown Corvallis, Oregon.
